Job Overview:

As a Marclay Cyber Security Consultant, you will be expected to support the business across a wide range of cyber related projects, whilst working under the guidance of the Senior Consultants within the business. You will be expected to provide subject matter expertise within your speciality area, whilst supporting and sometimes leading smaller projects specific to your discipline. You will be required to support client engagements in areas such as, stakeholder engagement, mapping client requirements, developing cyber security strategies, auditing controls and providing trusted expertise on a wide range of cyber subjects. Within the role, you will deal with high-profile individuals and very senior business figures during your assignments.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • You will support the business in all areas of cyber security project work
  • Support Senior Consultants across a range of cyber security projects
  • You will provide support in cyber investigations and incident response tasks
  • You will help build and write client reports and presentations
  • You will help manage and develop the more junior consultants within the company

Skills and Characteristics:

  • Experience implementing privacy solutions based on the requirements of the EU GDPR and UK Data Protection Act 2018
  • Experience of other information security standards and frameworks, such as ISO 27001
  • Strong written and spoken English, with excellent communication, reasoning and presentation skills
  • Proven self-management skills, including time management and the ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently
  • Relevant information security or privacy qualifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer and/or GDPR Practitioner
  • A passion for innovation and solving problems
  • Cyber security technical and analytical skills
  • Report writing and ability to brief stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

Person Specification

Essential Skills/Attributes:

  • Project Management experience
  • Proven technical expertise in an area of cyber security
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills/Attributes:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related subject
  • CREST Qualification
  • Other relevant cyber security qualifications
  • Security Cleared

Additional Experience/Skills:

  • 3+ years in information/cyber security
  • Ability to translate a technical requirement to a non-technical audience and appeal to relevant stakeholders
  • Experience in writing reports
  • Good technical understand of information security
