Jake is the Managing Partner at Marclay and has been an intelligence and cyber security professional for over 15 years. Jake heads the commercial and operational side at Marclay, focussing on the growth and strategy of the company.
A former UK intelligence officer, Jake was trained in cyber security during his time working for the UK Government on threats to national security in the UK and overseas. Jake has seen the evolution of the global intelligence community throughout his time in the public sector, following the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the United States and has led numerous counter terrorism investigations and operations.
Jake has been instrumental in developing go to market strategies for the company’s offerings, making sure that our cyber services align with what our clients need. Jake has worked extensively with our strategic partners in Law, PR, Sports and Entertainment, Finance and Government, working to keep Marclay as a thought leader in the provision of cyber services. Commercially focussed, Jake has overseen the financial investment into our team to grow the internal capability and continues to lead the strategic roadmap for Marclay.
Jake also has considerable experience working alongside Law firms in complex cases where cyber security intersects with legal services. With an extensive global network of associates, Jake has delivered results in multiple jurisdictions and has developed a reputation as a creative problem solver in the most challenging circumstances and is still involved in some of the companies more complex engagements.
Jake holds a Batchelor of Science and Economics with honours in International Politics and International History from Aberystwyth University and is currently UK HM Government SC (security check) cleared.
When not at work, Jake is a keen cyclist and a football coach for his children’s local team.
