Thomas Moore
Director, Digital Forensics
Tom is our Director of Digital Forensics and has been a
forensics practitioner since 2001. He leads our forensics
practice at Marclay and ensures that we are aligned with
current standards, including ISO 17025.
Tom has managed more than 85 digital forensics
investigations globally and is a specialist in handling
cross-jurisdictional forensics and e-discovery across the
EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. Tom is accustomed to handling
an array of complex cases, including large scale fraud,
intellectual property theft, national security, corporate
and regulatory issues.
Regularly acting under instruction from both clients and
their legal advisers – often in his capacity as a recognised
expert witness – Tom brings an articulate and creative
approach to forensics. He often works as part of our team on
wider crisis response and cyber investigation engagements,
which often require a detailed forensic approach. Calm under
pressure, Tom is has received industry praise for leading
investigations on sensitive document leaks, identifying
insider data theft and coordinating complex e-discovery
undertakings.
Tom is an accredited member of both the British Computer
Society and the Expert Witness Institute. He is experienced
in the use of a variety of technical and analytical tools,
including EnCase, Magnet AXIOM, Nuix, Intella and i2 iBase /
Analyst Notebook and combines this technical knowledge with
an up-to-date and practical understanding of legal
procedure.
Tom is accustomed to working on high profile and sensitive
cases and has carried UK HM Government SC clearance.
